It is important to understand our own cultural identity first, and building on this we can see how our cultural lens can affect our perspectives.
Cultural awareness is understanding your own and others cultures, and having a curiosity about the diversity of culture, recognizing the similarities and differences, how they connect and diverge.
This basic course provides an introduction to culture and helps you develop self awareness and cultural awareness, so that you can recognise and appreciate cross cultural values, norms and behaviours.

Effective communication is important in any business environment, but it is especially important in Intercultural Communications be that: Verbal, Non-Verbal, Emails/Letters, or Content Writing for Marketing & Social Media.
Effective communication requires that the sender and the receiver convey and interpret information in the same context. The way we communicate varies considerably around the world (& even regionally, within countries).
A lack of awareness and appreciation of cultural differences in communication style, as well as language barriers, can lead to misunderstandings, break down in communication and unnecessary conflicts.
We work with clients,to improve their cultural intelligence so thaty they recognise potential issues, and develop strategies that can be used to avoid uncomfortable (& sometimes costly) mistakes, and improve communication across cultures.
Apart from improving intercultural communication, these courses can enhance productivity, profitability, organisational culture, job satisfaction, and give you competitive advantage in an international business environment.

Failure to appreciate, understand and respect cultural differences as a manager, often leads to low staff morale, poor productivity and high employee turnover.
In a global marketplace, cultural intelligence is a key skill for managers from the recruitment process, right the way through the business process.
The importance of cultural intelligence cannot be underestimated in any business.
We work with clients to develop the four dimensions of cultural intelligence, and implement them in every day management.

Relocation opportunities are often seen as exciting and exotic. The financial and lifestyle benefits can be great too, with lucrative relocation packages.
Reality however can also be very different. Families have to be uprooted, children moved to new schools, and spouses have to sacrifice a career to support their spouse or partner.
In the workplace employees who have performed well in their home environment may struggle in a new culture if they don’t have the cultural skills and support to succeed in new environment
These are just a few of the challenges that employees and employers can face, and unrealistic expectations can lead to curtailment of assignments. A costly mistake both for employer and employee.
Our courses support both employer and employee through selection process of employee for relocation, using research-based tools and assessments. In addition to this, once employee has been selected for relocation we can provide ongoing support, workshops and coaching service for employee and family to prepare them for relocation.
Intercultural Skills
“The single greatest barrier to business success is the one erected by culture.”
— E T Hall, American anthropologist and cross-cultural researcher (1959)
This quotation is still true today however cultural competence builds bridges between cultures, rather than barriers, facilitating business growth and personal development for the benefit of all involved.
