Open your eyes to opportunities in LATAM

I have had an incredible couple of weeks working in Bolivia. Staying at the edge of the city, overlooking the ever-growing city skyline and the immense jungle that surrounds Santa Cruz, it’s hard to think of reasons to leave. This is a city brimming with diverse opportunities. A city that takes pride in its heritage and natural resources, while eager to leap forward in modern designs and technology.  

This trip, it’s the natural resources that have particularly caught my attention. As we take steps towards being ever more aware of the impact we have on our environment, I see great opportunities to explore carbon offset and reforestation projects in Bolivia. Speaking to local networks it appears I am not the only one wanting to move in this direction. I am working with local teams to expand my understanding of industries supporting the plantation of local produce as well as efforts to create sustainable income from forestry.  

This is truly the tip of the iceberg, or perhaps better the edge of the jungle. I’m excited to see the growth of Santa Cruz and the development of new businesses and products. There is an uncanny flair for entrepreneurship in this region which allows for fast growth and innovative solutions.
